Anatomic Pathology

San Diego Pathology offers a wide spectrum of tissue pathology services including small biopsies (such as breast, cervix, gastrointestinal, prostate, skin), bone marrows, lymph nodes and large resections. All our pathologists are board certified in anatomic pathology. In addition, we have subspecialty certification and/or expertise in dermatopathology, gastrointestinal pathology, genitourinary pathology and hematopathology.

Our anatomic pathology lab provides excellent quality histologic material as well as many special stains and an extensive library of immunohistochemical stains.

We have 50+ years of experience in Histology and Cytology and 25 years of experience serving Biotech/Biopharma, research and commercial clients with Pathologist tumor evaluation and tumor macrodissection. The anatomic pathology laboratory is directed by Dr. Carla Stayboldt. The immunohistochemistry laboratory is directed by Dr. Douglas Ellison for Heme markers and Dr. William Watts for non-Heme markers.
