Dr. Bachmann received her medical degree from Saint Louis University in 2002, where she also earned her B.A. in Chemistry. She completed her internship and pathology residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego, earning board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Following a fellowship in gastrointestinal and liver pathology at Weill Cornell Medical College – New York Presbyterian Hospital, Dr. Bachmann returned to Naval Medical Center San Diego where she practiced for 12 years. After retiring from the Navy, she joined San Diego Pathology in 2025.
